As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you have a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 207-353-3130 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. There is no charge for the help of this personal shopper for anyone with a disability. The Luonto Lounger collection contains fine functional recliners that offer a seat in the room that isn't a sleeper exactly, but we won't stop you.

The Welted Recliner is the most tailored-looking chair in the Lounger lineup: a visible welt seam runs along the arm contour, the back sits at a lower 39.25 inches rather than the 41 inches of the other styles, and the proportions land closer to a club chair than to an accent chair. At 32 inches wide, it reads substantial without being oversized. The welted detail is a finishing choice that tends to suit rooms where you want the furniture to look considered.

Reclining is a one-step manual handle release. The trigger is on the inside of the right arm; pull it and the footrest extends and the back reclines together, one motion, no cushion removal. Return by pushing back. No battery, no power supply, no button. The manual mechanism is entirely mechanical, which means nothing to charge and nothing to replace. The Welted Power version costs about $860 more and replaces the handle with a button-operated motor. If push-back is comfortable for you and you recline fully rather than stopping mid-arc, the manual is the practical choice.

The Welted headrest adjusts in two ways: tilt only, without telescoping extension. That is different from the four-way headrest (both tilt and telescoping) on the Sloped, Rolled, and Track recliners. If head and neck positioning matters precisely to you, that is a real distinction. Seat dimensions: 20.75 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 19 inches high. CertiPUR-certified medium-density high-resilience cold-cured foam. The chair needs 62.5 inches from wall to footrest when reclined.

FSC-certified solid spruce with mortise-and-tenon joinery and birch plywood panels. Made in the EU, made to order, four to six weeks. Choose from 100+ fabrics and 100+ leathers, all fixed covers, at point of sale.

Choose the Welted Manual if you want the tailored welt seam, the lower back height, and a handle-release mechanism. The lower price point relative to the other Lounger styles also makes it the entry point for the collection. If you need four-way headrest adjustment or a taller back, look at the Sloped or Rolled manual instead. For power recline in the same silhouette, the Welted Power is the direct step up.

Furniture can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new furniture should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.
